A lot of other people are making journals for the new year, so I'll follow suit and maybe it'll get me a little more motivated to get started. 2011 is over and 2012 looks to be a promising and busy year for me--things will be changing IRL, hopefully for the better and hopefully everything will go as planned... Transitioning from where I am to college and hopefully dorm life, I should be busy, but I hope not too busy to keep up with my art goals for this year too. *X*
Speaking of my art goals, I've got quite a few for 2012, hopefully all of which I'll go through with!
For the UTAU community, my goals are:
Finish my original songs! I started so many original songs during 2011--literally over 10 songs that are half finished--but I procrastinated or never got around to polishing them up... One of my biggest goals for this year is to actually release my music! A lot of things tend to hold me back, from working on the PVs to physical computer RAM capabilities, but I'm going to work a lot harder to bring more of my original music to light. I've been getting better and better at it, and my genre's been changing a little bit, so it's exciting--stay tuned!
Rise and Fall CH2 & CH3! The plans for R+F chapter releases had been about every six months. Meaning hopefully, if all goes well, CH2 will be released around March/April, and CH3 will be released around October/November. It feels strange to plan these things so far ahead in the year, but after working on the first chapter of Rise and Fall, I realized that time passes a lot quicker than I realize *A*

Outside of the UTAU community, I'd like to try to get some projects done with my original characters as well. What I'm going to be doing yet... I'm not so sure. I really enjoy drawing and working with my original characters, and I want to work on a project for the year that can tell their story, if only a little bit. I had attempted to do a small animation with some of them earlier last month, but it wasn't turning out very well at all, so I may reattempt that. I'm not very good at animation yet, but it's what I want to study when I get to college, so I don't see any problem with practicing! *X* That'll take up a lot of my time this year too.
All in all, I should be pretty busy this year, IRL, fandom and even just art wise, so I'm looking forward to it! *X*
